Plain language, not the legal version
Security & privacy
What happens to your information, your money and your photographs when you book us. The formal legal documents are linked at the bottom; this page is the readable version.
This website
It is served over HTTPS
Every page on shakerbarandbev.com is delivered over an encrypted connection, which is what the padlock in your browser’s address bar means. In practice it means nobody sitting between your device and this site can read what you send through the quote form. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which provides the certificate and the encryption.
What we collect, and why
Through the quote form: your name, contact details, and whatever you tell us about your event — date, venue, guest count, what you want at the bar. We collect it for one reason, which is to quote your event and, if you book, to run it. Through analytics: which pages were visited and roughly where from, so we know which parts of the site are useful.
The pricing estimator collects nothing. It runs entirely in your browser — no guest count, no budget and no configuration is sent anywhere unless you choose to carry it into the quote form yourself.
We do not sell your information
Your details are not sold, rented or traded. They are shared only with the services we use to actually run the business — the system that holds our enquiries and sends our email, and our advertising platforms for measuring which ads produce enquiries. They are not shared with other wedding vendors, and nobody buys a list of engaged couples from us.
Cookies and tracking, and how to opt out
This site uses cookies for two things: measuring website traffic, and measuring whether our advertising works. If you are browsing from California, Florida, Pennsylvania, Washington, Illinois or Michigan, none of that loads until you agree to it — you will see a banner asking first, and declining is a genuine decline rather than a delayed yes. Everyone can change their mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals automatically.
Phone calls
The phone number shown on this site may be a tracking number that forwards straight to Shaker’s real line, so we can tell which adverts and pages actually produce calls. It rings the same people either way, and the number is not used for anything else.
Your event, your money, your photographs
Client to confirm — payments and deposits
This section needs to name the payment processor, state that card details never touch Shaker's own systems, say what the deposit is and whether it is refundable, when the balance is due, and state plainly what Shaker will never ask for (card numbers by text or email, for instance). Every one of those is a real reassurance to someone about to send a deposit to a company they found online, and none of it can be written without you.
Client to confirm — staff vetting and alcohol service
Are bartenders TABC seller-server certified? Are staff background-checked? Does Shaker carry general liability and liquor liability insurance, and can a couple or a venue request a certificate of insurance naming them? Venues ask for this in writing, and couples worry about it without asking. This is the single most valuable block missing from this page.
Client to confirm — photographs of your event
Shaker's marketing photography comes from real weddings. What is the policy: does the contract include permission to photograph and publish, can a couple opt out, and who owns images taken by the couple's own photographer that Shaker reposts? A stated policy here is a trust signal; an unstated one is a question mark on the page where someone is deciding whether to pay.
Getting hold of a person about this
Not a form. If you want to know what we hold about you, want it deleted, or have a complaint about any of the above, call (817) 873-2880 or email info@shakerbarandbev.com and a person will answer. Requests to delete your information are honoured; the only things we keep are records we are legally required to keep, such as those relating to a contract you signed.
The formal documents
This page is written to be read. The documents that govern in a dispute are the Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use and the Disclaimer. Our Accessibility Statement covers how we approach making this site usable.
Note for whoever maintains this: the old Showit site linked its Privacy Policy and Terms of Use to files on Google Drive. Those cannot be crawled, they read as improvised, and a couple about to send a deposit notices. All legal documents are now real pages on this domain.

Let’s get your date on the calendar
Tell us your date, venue and guest count and we’ll come back with a real quote. Reviewers say the planning conversation is the best part of working with us.
