Wedding bartending in Dallas-Fort Worth

Dallas-Fort Worth is home. Shaker is based in Southlake, which puts us inside the Grapevine–Colleyville–Keller–Westlake cluster where a large share of the metro’s weddings actually happen, and within an easy run of both Dallas and Fort Worth.

What a DFW wedding bar usually looks like

Most of the weddings we run here are 120 to 250 guests at a dedicated venue rather than a private home, which shapes the bar in two ways. Venues usually have a rule — BYOB required, licensed service required, or an exclusive vendor — so that is the first thing worth checking before you plan anything else. And guest counts in that range mean two to four bartenders, which is the difference between a bar that flows and one that queues after the ceremony.

Spring and autumn Saturdays are the first dates to go across the metro. If your date is in April, May, October or November, book bar service earlier than feels necessary.

The Southlake question

We are a Southlake company, which we mention because a competitor is currently running a landing page specifically targeting mobile bartending in Southlake. If you are planning a wedding here, you are being marketed to by companies from across the metro — a reasonable thing to ask any of them, including us, is how far they are actually travelling and whether setup time is being billed for the drive.
