Which glassware do we need?
House glassware covers the four shapes a wedding actually runs on: water goblets, rocks glasses, champagne flutes and wine glasses. Elevated glassware adds double old fashioned, martini and Collins glasses, and is what you want if a made-to-order cocktail is part of the evening — an espresso martini in a plastic cup is a waste of an espresso martini.
Why does glassware need a busser?
Because glasses do not stay at the bar. They end up on tables, in the garden and on the dance floor, and someone has to collect, wash and return them or you finish the night with 300 dirty glasses and a rental shortfall. A bartender doing that job is a bartender not pouring, which is why the busser is a separate $50-an-hour role rather than an assumption.
How many glasses per guest should we budget?
Two per guest is the usual planning figure, and it is what the estimator defaults to — one in hand, one in the wash. Weddings with a champagne toast plus a full bar often run closer to three. Because glassware is priced per glass rather than per guest, this is one of the few line items where a small planning decision moves the number a lot, so it is worth testing both in the estimator.

Glassware Rental: common questions
What time does your team arrive?
Staff arrive at least two hours before the ceremony to set up, and leave an hour and a half after the bar closes once clean-up is done. Those hours are in addition to the bar service hours you book.
Do you clean up afterwards?
Yes, and it is the thing reviewers mention most often — including a wedding planner who named the end-of-night clear-down as the reason she books Shaker. The team stays 90 minutes after the bar closes to break down the bar and clear glasses.
What roles can we staff?
Bartenders and bar glassware bussers are the two published hourly roles, both $50 an hour. Barbacks, servers and table bussers are also available, quoted to your event.
